Experimental electronics from Paris, France. Artist in the making but already an accomplished musician, DIMM explores the meanders of experimental sound like a musical David Lynch. With a rich musical past from violin through percussion to electronica, Dimitri Rousselot continues to explore the passion that never left him. His latest obsession is the creation of sound via vinyl destruction. With a box full of gramophone records and his MS20, he focuses on reinterpreting the discs with scratches, burns and other cracks so that we may discover hostile electronic soundscapes, rocked by a deep bass. ‘Noises from Mars’ is a litany that transports us along a journey of no return. From the red planet’s frigid landscape and hostile climate, we discover a troubling melancholic universe.
